The different ways to consume cinnamon

The best way to consume cinnamon is to consume it in its natural state : in sticks and in combination or not with other foods. There is the possibility of ingesting it as a dietary supplement, but it is not so recommended.

  • In powder form, you should take a teaspoon in the morning and another in the evening.
  • You can use cinnamon instead of sugar to sweeten your infusions or foods.
  • In a glass of water or tea, you can add a teaspoon of honey and two more of cinnamon powder. Mix everything well.
  • In the form of lozenges, it is best to take 500 mg during breakfast and again 500 mg during lunch. It is also possible to take just 1000 mg at one time with lunch, but it is best to consult a doctor.

The dangers of cinnamon

It is best to consult a doctor before including this spice in your diet on a regular basis, as there are certain contraindications. Interactions with drugs are possible.

Patients with chronic illnesses may only consume cinnamon under medical supervision.
